US Geocoder^TM

Geocoding is the process of assigning a latitude and longitude to an address, feature, or point so it can be placed on a map and related to other attributes and features on the map or link to the location.

Online Image's U.S. Geocoder engine uses proprietary methods to integrate multiple data sources including USPS delivery data. It is the most accurate geocoder on the market today for use with statistical analysis using any of the 639 data types, such as school districts, age, education, and the demographic information tracked by the U.S. Census.

US Geocoder is a customized Geographic information system (GIS) web application that seamlessly integrates data from:

1. US Census Bureau Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing system (TIGER/Line)
2. U.S. Census demography
3. US Postal Service address delivery
4. U.S. Geological Survey (USGS)
5. National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP)

Among other things, US Geocoder assigns zip+4 codes to address ranges and address points. Postal Service delivery ranges that are not otherwise geocoded can be assigned to census blocks for inclusion in statistical analyses. Input can be by operator or batch upload. Results can be produced as maps, tables, shapefiles, or statements.

Applications:

1. VoterConnect ^TM - An online platform that provides complete grassroots and campaigning management. VoterConnect uses its exclusive US Geocoder to auto-populate political jurisdiction information such as congressional districts, state legislative districts, counties, school districts, and incorporated cities. US Geocoder is also included in VoterConnect's eCommerce solution. It provides incorporation, city and county, and zip code information to correctly calculate sales tax for online orders.
2. AdjustTheVote.org - a custom application of VoterConnect designed for the International Chiropractors Association. It uses US Geocoder to locate the user's physical address on the map and auto-populate political jurisdiction information.
3. California Sales and Use Tax Solutions - US Geocoder powers California Sales and Use Tax API to deliver realtime tax rates for any physical address in California.
4. USMappingEngine.com - A Service Provider Response Mapping tool. It uses US Geocoder to map the locations that have broadband applications filed with the Federal government.
